Station Manager is the head of the media product. As such, they have the final say on disputed decisions and are ultimately responsible for this Media Product. The Station Manager oversees the 3 year plan and sets the vision for the station. They are responsible for continually increasing the student awareness of Burst by supporting and guiding departments such as Marketing and Advertising.
Additionally, the Station Manager is responsible for liaising with outside organisations (eg. Radio Academy, BCFM, BBC, Varsity games) and overseeing the running of Burst’s external communications. They should sit on both the Media exec. and the Societies exec. committees within the Union. They are responsible for creating and maintaining a solid team/committee spirit as well as guidance and assistance to those who need it.
