A B O U T  M E

Hi there! I’m Kim, a third year law student from London, and I have the pleasure of being the Operations Manager for Burst this year. This means I’m in charge of the day-to-day running of the station, as well as sorting out additional funding for the station, and implementing our goals of improved output and wider reach among students in Bristol. I previously presented a 1980s specialist music show, The Feel Good Hour and the weekend edition of the station’s flagship lunchtime show, The Hangover Brunch. I currently present Burst Breakfast every Monday morning from 8:30am.

There is something for everyone at Burst, and we’re always keen to hear your thoughts so please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

About the role

Operations Manager – is the 2nd in command and deals centrally with Burst’s core product, the output. The Operations Manager should be seen as the station manager’s right-hand man and as such, the holder of this role will support, or if necessary assume the role of, the Station Manager in the event they cannot fully fulfil their obligations.

Unlike the station manager the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the station, overseeing not only programming but technical, news, production and music. Together with the station manager, they jointly oversee the Treasurer, Webmaster and Projects Manager. This role is responsible for maintaining password records with the Marketing & Communications team and membership records.
