Burst Radio is the Sound of Bristol University

Hello, and welcome to the good ship Burst Radio. When I say ship we're obviously not a pirate station (unless I've not paid the licenses yet!) but we are in fact Bristol University's Student Radio Station. Firstly, thank you for visiting our new website; due to many setbacks, it has been a long time coming. You've got two options: you can either sit back and enjoy the flow by clicking on the listen now box, or explore the site, getting more hands-on with Burst. Maybe you're a prospective DJ, a budding Producer or a local or national business looking to work with us. In any case, if you hear something you like or feel you could add something to the mix, why not get in touch, and get involved? Many students have gone on from Burst to make a career in Broadcasting, maybe most notably Marcus Brigstocke as well as some of our old producers who now work at Radio 1 and Radio 2, on the Jeremy Vine show. Burst isn't just about presenting or producing though; there are loads of ways to get involved behind the mic. You could help review albums, gigs and new artists with the Music Team, help with marketing and branding the station, or even get stuck in organising events.
